Hemel Hempstead is mainly known as a New Town but has a longstanding history that reportedly dates back to the Roman era. Hemel Old Town has a wealth of character with a museum, shops and restaurants.

The New Town expansion took place from the 1950’s onwards, to help accommodate the population overspill from London, to which it has good communication links via the M1 and its rail station (Euston 35 mins)

Hemel Hempstead provides comprehensive shopping, leisure and community amenities and caters for all schooling needs. It also provides a base for many large employers.
