Old Fashioned Values - Modern Approach

2010 sees the 75th anniversary of Aitchisons Estate Agents.  Robert Aitchison established 'Aitchison & Co. Auctioneers, House and Estate Agents, Surveyors and Valuers', in 1935, opening an office in Berkhamsted which was soon followed by another in Hemel Hempstead.

His aim was to provide a professional service to the local community, based on honesty, integrity and a wealth of local knowledge, an aim still held by the company today.

Aitchisons has continued to grow and diversify, with a network of computer linked High Street offices, now covering major towns, including St Albans, Watford and Radlett.  All modern marketing methods are employed, to match buyers and sellers, with extensive use of the internet to ensure national and international coverage of all properties being marketed.

The company is also now part of the Aitchison Raffety Group of companies, one of the largest independent property practices in the UK, formed by the joining together of long established regional firms of Estate Agents, Surveyors and Town Planners, in order to be able to provide comprehensive solutions in all residential and commercial property matters.

A professional company, Aitchisons adheres to the guidelines of the Royal Institutions of Chartered Surveyors and the National Association of Estate Agents.  Each of the offices is staffed by personnel with many years of local experience and who have the expertise on hand to be able to offer friendly advice on all matters related to moving within the area.

The shortage of homes for sale and let, experienced in the latter part of 2009, seems set to continue through the early part of 2010.  If you are contemplating selling or letting your property and want to take advantage of the lack of competition, please contact your local Aitchisons office.  We have a register of applicants keen to get a home like yours!
