Aitchisons launches new campaign with The Hospice of St Francis

Published on: 04 Oct, 2018

Aitchisons Estate Agents is delighted to announce that it has formed a Partnership with The Hospice of St Francis, a Hertfordshire based charity, raising its level of support even further.  Every Home is Precious combines the wonderful work that the Hospice does to care and support people living with life-limiting illnesses with an established residential agency whose staff truly value the needs of their customers.

Aitchisons has been a strong supporter of the charity for over 14 years and has now committed to helping it to increase  awareness of its work and to generate much needed funds for running the Hospice.  In addition, at various periods throughout the year, Aitchisons is committed to making a donation for new sole agency instructions, upon completion of sale (terms and conditions apply).

As the Hospice approaches its 40th  anniversary, the colleagues at Aitchisons’ local offices will join volunteers and fundraisers to participate in local events.  The business will also utilise their advertising forums to raise the profile of the Hospice, and in effect, be one of its  strategic marketing partners across the areas  it covers.

Andy Young, Director and Head of Residential at Aitchisons, commented “We are pleased to continue to support The Hospice of St Francis, and are very excited to launch the new Partnership.   Every Home is Precious recognises the comparable aspirations of both the Hospice and Aitchisons in their individual roles in the community.  Whether you are a nurse caring for someone in their own home or a property expert searching for someone’s first home, the foundations are the same.  We are all looking forward to progressing the new initiatives scheduled to promote the Charity over the comings months and in the longer term.”

Kate Phipps-Wiltshire, Chief Executive Officer at The Hospice of St Francis, commented “From ambitious beginnings in 1979 when our first community nurse supported 20 people, our current multi-disciplinary team of professionals, vocationally trained staff and dedicated volunteers support 2,000 people every year and our community nurses provide care at home seven days a week.  It is local people who raise more than £8 in every £10 we spend helping to ensure our care is free to anyone who needs it.  As the number of people needing hospice care is growing, the traditional association that a Hospice is only there for the end of life is strong. We need to double the reach of our care over the next 10 years and show local people how much of that care takes place at home.  Our Partnership with Aitchisons is incredibly exciting in helping us to achieve both these aims.”

The Hospice of St Francis helps  2,000 people each year to live their precious lives well across West Hertfordshire and South Buckinghamshire. Its free care has many forms – care at home, in its outpatient health and wellbeing Spring Centre, or through specialised individual care in one of its beds – and is defined by each person’s need.  As a charity it relies on the support of local fundraisers and businesses to raise the over £5million it needs every year to fund its free care.
